The ESAM5500M includes a 60 ounce (7 1/2 cup) removable water tank; and has a built in cup warmer and hot water spout to provide extra support for tea and hot chocolate. In addition the device also includes an easy to use digital programming menu with special settings to adjust start time, auto shut off, clock, temperature of the beverage, and water hardness. The device also has five separate settings for coffee strength; extra mild, mild, regular, strong and extra strong. The Perfecta ESAM5500M takes advantage of the patented "Single Touch" latte technology; this enables the device to make the perfect latte, cappucino, and macchiato with just one press of the button and ensures the drink is always the same each time. A second patented system, "Direct-to-Brew" utilizes the thermoblock technology to provide full heat distribution for each pot and ensure the beverage remains warm. A special rotary control panel allows users to easily adjust the beverage cup size; from small (risretto) to large (American coffee). The entire device includes fully detachable equipment that can be easily cleaned between use. The De'Longhi Perfecta ESAM5500M espresso machine includes additional features such as a built-in professional quality conical burr grinder, height adjustable coffee spouts, a double size boiler with a specialized espresso boiler, a decalcification system, a fully removable used coffee container and drip tray, and a one year limited manufacturer's warranty.
