Product Shot 2 One of its key features is that it can be emptied with a push of a button - meaning no one needs to handle any dirt.

It is a fairly powerful handheld vacuum with 21.6 Volts of power from its rechargeable Lithium Ion battery. However, expect to only get about 5 - 6 minutes of continuous use before requiring a recharge. Dyson claims that the Root 6 charges three times faster than its competition (no references of charge time could be found). It is a fairly heavy handheld vacuum, weighing 3.3 pounds. There have been conflicting reviews on the weight balance of the Root 6 and its easy-of-use.

The Dyson Root 6 was released in October 2006 and retails for around $150. If you are not impressed with the style of the Root 6, see the Dirt Devil Kurv.

halfkorean: #dyson_root_6 I bought this vac mostly for the looks. Yes, I am a gadget-freak. I purchased it with a gift card... and I am glad because it does only last about 4 minutes. Yes, it is only for quick pick-ups, but the price tag needs to be adjusted accordingly. I inquired about another battery... $70 US. May 10, 08

Amanie: #dyson_root_6 Well no wonder they need a battery light indicator, if it only lasts 3 minutes! The light must be on all the time. I'd say $150 is way too much in that case, does anyone know how long other handheld vacuums last? Sep 12, 07

hapajoe: #dyson_root_6 I received this vacuum as a gift. It is good for quickly dusting around the house or cleaning up small messes. However, the vacuum battery lasts less than three minutes when fully charged. For a $150 hand vac, the battery life is lacking. Sep 12, 07
