The Kenmore 87872 is a 7.0 cubic ft. H3 Super Capacity electric dryer based on Kenmore’s Exclusive EvenHeat technology that reduces over-drying and cycle times. Part of the H3 series, the Kenmore 87872 is not as loaded as Kenmore’s Elite models, but is a staunch contrast to the lower-end Kenmore H2 8751, 8573, 8756, and 8757 models.

For one, the Kenmore 87872 features up to 7 standard cycles (casual, damp dry, delicate, heavy duty, normal, permanent press, 80-minute timed dry), 7 special cycles (air dry, express dry, jeans, large items, sensor dry, manual touch-up, and 120-minute Wrinkle Guard). In fact, the Wrinkle Guard cycle was specifically developed by Kenmore to relax clothes and keep them wrinkle free. In addition, the Kenmore 87872 comes equipped with 4-way venting, an end-of-cycle signal, a QuietPak 5 package, a clear window door, easy-to-use audio-visual controls, and an Exclusive Kenmore heated dryer rack described as drying clothes 3 times faster than conventional dryer rack models. The Kenmore 87872 retails for $1099.99 and can be purchased at either Sears or K-Mart. Although the Kenmore 87872 comes with a 1 year limited warranty, extended 3YR and 5YR In-Home Master Protection plans are available for a fee.
