The Maytag Performance MEDE500VW is a front load electric dryer from the Maytag Performance series based on Maytag Commercial Technology (MCT). An upgrade from the MEDE300VF, the MEDE500VW electric dryer maintains many similar features with its predecessor, but also adds along a Rapid Refresh Steam-Enhanced Cycle, a Custom Refresh Steam-Enhanced Cycle, an NSF Certified Sanitary Cycle, and a Direct Feed/Easy-Plumb(DFP) Water Hook-Up, not to mention 9 cycles and 5 temperatures (versus 7 cycles and 5 temperatures).

In addition, the MEDE500VW features a 7.0 cubic ft. SuperSize Capacity Plus DuraCushion Dryer Drum that holds an extra large quantity in every load, thereby reducing the number of loads required to complete one’s laundry. The MEDE500VW also comes equipped with a GentleBreeze drying system that utilizes an IntelliDry sensor to measure moisture as clothes dry to minimize over-drying and shrinking, not to mention a Smooth Balance Suspension System that relies on four premium drum rollers with self-lubricating bearings to provide a quiet cycle with minimal vibration.
