Mint Automatic Floor Cleaner

The Mint Automatic Floor Cleaner is automatic / robotic hard-surface floor cleaner described as a self-propelled Swiffer. Capable of automatically dusting and wet mopping hard floors with disposable electrostatic cleaning clothes, the Mint relies on integrated sensors and advanced-navigation technology to steer itself through the user’s home.

It essentially uses an IR pattern from a NorthStar to map out the room, though it does still bump into the wall to turn around. However, the Mint is recommended only for cleaning a single room at a time, as it has difficulty locating doorways. It reportedly performs well with dusting or mopping, though it obviously is incapable of scrubbing away deep stains. Therefore it’s meant for constant use—so that deep stains don’t form to begin with. But on the upside, it’s ultra quiet.
