The NN-SN977S is a higher-end, stainless-steel microwave oven from Panasonic, part of their Genius Prestige line. The 2.2 cu. ft. unit, with a maximum power of 1250 W, features Panasonic's 'Inverter Technology', which aims to transmit energy in a consistent, uniform manner, resulting in superior cooking, as heat is transmitted evenly.

Other features include Turbo Defrost, which Panasonic says defrosts food faster than previous defrost functions. Other upscale functionality includes a setting to keep foods warm or soups at a simmer by emitting very low levels of power. The stainless steel finish is designed to be resistant to fingerprints and smudges, while the front door features a reflective black finish.
