Whirlpool GU2275XTV

$649.00 Released September, 2008

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Exterior looks nice. Cleans the dishes, fits larger dishes easily, quiet.

The Cons:The controls and indicator lights are hidden on the top door edge. However, since no indicator lights are visible while the machine is running, one doesn't know if the dishes are washed. A poor setup. No good at washing dishes. Leaves film on everything under all setting, with all soaps, with all disk placements. Cannot find replacement parts on whirlpools own site to repair the buttons which are separating after 2 years!?!?

The Whirlpool GU2275XTV model is a high end, built-in (under counter) dishwasher unit. The GU2275XTV premier model exterior is outlined in a monochromatic stainless steel and provides a sleek, and modern look to any kitchen; the unit is also available as completely different models in white or black (See model series section below).

Special features common for all the units included in this particular model series include fully integrated electronic controls, an adaptive wash cycle that uses dual sensors to determine the current load size and automatically adjusts settings to save time, energy and water; and each of the devices also include an NSF certified Sani-rinse option which sanitizes the dishes at a hot temperature to completely eliminate any excess germs.

The Whirlpool 2275 series dishwasher units are equipped with a Quiet Partner III system that provides sound-reducing insulation and five different user-selectable levels of quiet operation. Another integrated system includes the SheerClean direct feed wash system which allows the device to collect dirty water through the back draining ports and inject fresh cleaning water from five different angles; this ensures the clean water remains clean during the entire process and the device is not just re-using the same dirty water. Each device is Energy Star qualified and as Whirlpool claims will consume 25% less total energy than a conventional dishwashing unit. The Whirlpool GU2275XTV model dishwashing units include additional features such as a soak and scour option, an Anywhere plus silverware basket that can fit in three different places, a special glass express cleaning cycle, a slate interior tub, a fully adjustable upper rack, an auto soil sensor that automatically adjusts cleaning options regarding the dirty state of the dishes, a control lock, 6 washing cycles, and fold down tines.

Hditomaso: #whirlpool_gu2275xtv Well, i found the part in my manual.....and whirlpool will sell me a new panel overlay for $163 plus shipping? This is a fault with the product and i will not give a company that sells faulty products more money. For what i paid, i expect more. Lesson learned re: whirlpool. Feb 11, 13

Hditomaso: #whirlpool_gu2275xtv I've had this dishwasher for almost three years, the button panel is falling apart, the plastic is peeling around some buttons. To make it worse, whirlpools website does not even seem to recognize the model number to allow me to spend more money to repair the button panel! I am very unhappy. I love the machine, does a nice job and is really quiet! But the buttons falling apart already? And the inability to find a replacement panel make me think i will just have to go with another brand next time. Very frustrated. Feb 11, 13

gen17: #whirlpool_gu2275xtv The Whirlpool engineers know nothing about dishwashers. The unit is terrible. Replaced 12 year old cheapo GE with this one. Except the new Whirlpool unit doesn't clean dishes! It is a fraud to call this unit a "dishwasher". Call it a pile of... dirty dishes and handwashing. Apr 3, 10
